The Race Director's Message Dear Racers, Marshals, friends and supporters, First of all, a big thank you all the teams and supporters who made the Eco X-Capade and Eco X-Sprint 2006 the extraordinary experience that it was. One of thing's that make race organizing the best job in the world is that I get to torture people on your fiendish creations. (Hee Hee Hee, evil laugh!) This year's race was no exception with the last team coming off the race course in 9 and a half hours. A big congratulations to Doc and his two babes for persevering and for getting more race time per ringgit than any other team! Speaking of being "Kiasu", this year's race was probably one of the most kiasu races we have ever run, with the EVERY SINGLE TEAM adding on an extra 40 minutes to the mountain bike section. You guys just can't get enough of the torture. Furthermore I noticed that every team except 2 did every single one of the tasks at the second mystery test at CP11. Anyway, a big thank you to all of you for your incredible spirit that gave the race its tremendous atmosphere. Although the competition was tough, you guys never stopped having fun and supporting each other. That special ingredient that makes adventure racing what it is comes from all of you. Another big thank you to all the race marshals and volunteers who worked very hard on the event. We could not have run a safe and successful race without the extra effort that all of you put in. Also I could not ask for a better team of area commanders and staff at Nomad Adventure. You guys are an awesome team. Well, we are looking forward to organizing another Eco-X race on November 11th and 12. We hope to make it an Eco X-Treme 36 hour race, but for all those who are not quite ready for such a long race, don't worry because we will definitely have a shorter (or short) category. Watch this space for updates! Also if anyone has any photos of the race, please do share them with us so we can get them out to all the competitors. Finally, if you have any comments or suggestions, please do e-mail us. We are happy to receive any feedback that will help us improve our event.
