Eco X-Capade & Eco X-Sprint 2004
22 February 2004 @ Sungkai, Perak

Newsletter One: 13 January 2004
Dear Competitors, Volunteers and Friends,
Nomad Adventure is pleased to announce the venue for the upcoming Eco
X-Capade and Eco X-Sprint which will be held Sunday, 22nd February 2004. The
race will be held in Sungkai, Perak.
We are back to the tried and tested 6 - 8 hour long Eco X-Capade race, with
the non-competitive Eco X-Sprint running alongside. Sungkai is where we've been
running our whitewater
kayaking trips, so for the first time ever we are introducing a whitewater
event as part of the race! This venue at Sungkai also has a little bit for everyone:
awesome mountain biking, great hiking / trail running and fantastic rope sections.
You can be assured that we've created a nicely devious route with that oh, so
very special type of pain that adventure racers crave! Definitely another highlight
for this event is the beautiful, new Sungai Klah Hot Springs Resort. It's a
great place to soak away your aches and pains after the race!
What am I saying!?? I must be getting soft if I am extolling the virtues of
this race course as being the hot springs to relax in afterwards!!! But seriously
folks, this will be a fairly easy race course which we expect everyone to be
able to finish well before the cut off times.
We are open for entries now! Please register early as there are limited slots.
Entry forms available on this page. Send 'em in early please! Also a big hand
to our returning sponsors Camelbak and Powerbar!
Have fun out there,
Chan Yuen-Li
Race Director
