What is the "Genting Trailblazer 2005"?
Genting Trailblazer 2005 will combine some exciting elements of adventure racing with the popularity of trail running. You will expect to face not only the tough jungle terrain offered by the surroundings around Awana Genting Highlands, but also be challenged by the Mystery Obstacles. These will require you to climb over, under or through various muddy obstacles. The obstacles will take a team of fit participants no longer than 8 minutes.
What is the difference between the "Wild" and "Mild" Category?
The "Wild" category will take participants through the whole race course which will take seasoned runners about 1.5 hours to complete. The slowest teams at the rear will take not more than 3 hours to finish the race. The race route will involve more challenging terrain with steeper climbs and descents. It will also be through thicker and remote parts of the jungle.
The "Mild" category will take participants through the first part of the race course where the trails are flatter and conditions more suitable for newcomers and beginners to experience the fun of trail running. Seasoned participants are expected to cover the "Mild" race route in about 45minutes. Slower participants can take from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the mild race route.
What are the distances expected for "Genting Trailblazer 2005"?
As the race course involves rugged terrains with many up hills and down hills, it is recommended to describe the race course in terms of timing by seasoned runners. Seasoned runners are expected to finish the "Wild" category in 1.5hours and "Mild" category in 45 minutes.
How much is the entry fee?
The entry fee is RM98.00 per team of 2 persons for all categories. Each team will be given 2 Brooks t-shirts, goodie bags and a light breakfast prior to the race. T-shirt & goodie bags can be collected at the Goodie Bag Redemption Counter at Awana Genting Highlands after the Race.
There are no refunds if your team does not show up for the Race.
How do I register my team for the Race?
You can send in your entry forms either by:-

Please make all cheques payable to "Nomad Adventure Sdn Bhd". Registration will only be valid upon settlement of race fee either by cash of cheque.
Alternatively, you can register your team online through www.genting.com.my. Please take note that online registration will only start from 6th December 2004 onwards.
When is the closing date for registration?
The registration for "Genting Trailblazer 2005" closes on 8th January 2005. We highly recommend teams to sign-up early to ensure guaranteed entry to the Race. Race organisers reserve to reject late registrations when the quota of teams have been achieved to ensure the safety of the participants throughout the race course.
When & where do I collect my team race bibs?
You can personally collect your team from 9th to 14th January 2005 between 11.00am to 9.00pm at Nomad Adventure office. Race bibs shall be collected at Awana Genting Highlands from 15th Jan 2005 onwards between 4.00pm to 7.30pm.
What time should I be at the start line?
The "Genting Trailblazer 2005" will flag off at 8.30am at Awana Genting Highlands football field area. You have to be there to check-in between 7.00am to 7.30am. Due to the large scale of this event, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU ARRIVE AT THE CHECK IN COUNTER NO LATER THAN 7:00AM.
There will be a Race Briefing at 7.30am where officials will disclose the race course and more information on the run.
What should I wear the Race? Are there any special equipment required?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and shoes with good traction. Other recommended gear will be a hydration pack and basic first aid kit.
Please bring along a set of clean clothes, bath towel and shoes/sandals to change into after the Race as you are guaranteed to be wet & muddy by the time your team reaches the Finish Line. There will be showers and changing rooms at the Finish Area.
