From the very first contact, we aim to make your job as easy as possible, just tell us where to put the emphasis:
1. What are your logistical considerations: number of participants, duration and travel time?
2. Would you like the team have more creature comforts or would you like to stretch them?
3. Would you like to focus only on team bonding or do you want to develop relationships and also build awareness and skills for your team’s development?
4. What are the learning outcomes that you would like us to create?
One of the main theories relating to motivation is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. People have needs. A need is a lack of something- something we want. This produces the drive and desire which motivates us to satisfy that need. Satisfying this need, or getting the thing we want or lack is the goal. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology proposed by the American psychologist Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper “A Theory of Human Motivation”.
Nomad Adventure’s corporate programs are designed to create training solutions for the specific needs of your team. Every team has different needs depending on a wide variety of circumstances.
“To be awake is to be alive.” Henry David Thoreau.
With these programs we use the mountains and rivers as our teachers. By immersing ourselves in nature, we begin to reduce our stress and the complexities of city life. By playing in an adventure, we reuse our bodies and minds in a whole new way and reconnect ourselves with our passions. We rediscover an appreciation for life and the world around us.
“Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits.” Jerry Dunn
While we all want to feel secure and protected, it is also part of our human nature to dare, dream and explore beyond the horizon. An adventure challenge expands the limits of what seems possible in our lives. Sometimes we just need to be reminded that “if I can do this, I can do anything!”
We strongly adhere to the principle of Challenge by Choice. Lead by our highly trained outdoor leaders, no prior skills are necessary. We only need you to have an adventurous spirit!
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Henry Ford
A team does not automatically bond simply because they do something together. Nomad’s facilitators go through extensive training in team dynamics so they can craft effective team bonding programs that make everyone feel included and valued. Our programs help teams to find commonalities, develop relationships, and engender a sense of belonging.
Something magical happens when people share a special experience. As they play, create and achieve together, interpersonal relationships grow, morale improves and cooperation increases. Your team will finish the program with a strong bond, forged by successes they have achieved.
“Awareness precedes choice and choice precedes results.” Robin Sharma
We use the “Inside-Out” approach as described by Stephen Covey in 7 habits; Personal and interpersonal effectiveness starts first with oneself.
On our personal development programs we combine outdoor activities and group experiential exercises with some powerful concepts to encourage personal exploration. Our aim is to foster shifts in thinking that reveal fresh perspectives and challenge blind spots in order to illuminate new possibilities. Expect to impress yourself, laugh at yourself and even surprise yourself.
“What a man can be, he must be” Abraham Marslow
What drives you? What inspires you? What lifts your spirit and makes it soar? What holds you back? Explore some of these alluring questions on Nomad’s leadership programs. At Nomad Adventure we have discovered that profound things happen when teams come together, ask powerful questions and engage in meaningful experiences.
Our programs identify habits and patterns that create disorder, preventing clarity and direction. You will walk away with the tools to determine how to choose and what to choose, which will enable you to glean more out of what you already have at hand.
