Jungle Lounge
The Jungle lounge is where our trip leader will meet you when you arrive. You are most welcome to relax over here, read a book or socialize with your friends, family or other guests. Our merchandise shop operates out of the lounge. We offer souvenirs and other items to complement your activities.
Dining Hall
We have two dining halls, Makan Place and Kongsi Hall. They can accommodate all group sizes, whether small or large. Plus, they’re a great meeting place in the evening to socialize. Our caterer will serve delicious meals for you here and there are plenty of sinks to wash your dishes after the meal. We also have water dispensers for you to refill your water bottle.
Bouldering Wall
Our bouldering wall is an artificially constructed wall with grips for hands and feet. Some sections have been reused from our previous climbing gym, the first in Malaysia.
While the bouldering wall can be tackled without any equipment, most climbers use climbing shoes to help secure footholds and chalk to keep their hands dry and provide a firmer grip. We provide bouldering mats to prevent injuries from falls. The routes are maintained and assigned by our very own staff where we aim to make the routes fun and of varying difficulties. Our guests are free to enjoy our interesting routes.
Field
Our field area is a great place to relax, run activities or have a campfire in the evening. It is a large grassed area suitable for group games and activities.
Outdoor Classroom
Our outdoor classroom is a medium-sized covered area where small group sessions can be conducted. It is another example of reusing and repurposing materials at Earth Camp. The metal poles forming the frame of the structure were previously part of our dorms, the insulated plastic roofing has also been reclaimed from previous structures around Earth Camp. The seating in this area consists of stools made from wooden logs and repurposed tires. There are fans and lights so you can relax and enjoy the area at any time of day, in any weather.
Toilets & Bathrooms
At Earth Camp, our communal space bathrooms and toilets are re-purposed from polycarbonate water tanks. Each unit has either a sit-down toilet or a shower. We have cut a door in these tanks to provide a private bathroom that is easily kept clean and well ventilated. The doors are lockable from the inside.
Repurposing is an offshoot of recycling where items meant for one purpose are re-used for another, possibly better, purpose.
We chose to use the polycarbonate water tanks as they are highly UV-resistant and provide a minimalist solution to our bathroom needs for Earth Camp.
