Gopeng Heritage House
The Gopeng heritage house is a small museum. It is perfect to discover Gopeng’s old past as a tin-mining village. Very easy to find, just across the Gopeng roundabout!

Gopeng Museum
Re-live Gopeng’s old history in this small yet enjoyable museum. The museum goes back to the time when Gopeng was a booming tin mining district. Featuring a wide range of antique items that will make you feel like it’s 1820. Here you will be able to walk through a part of Perak’s rich history.

Mural paintings
In the town centre, you can find beautiful murals showcasing the culture of the local people. Included is a girl with Rafflesia flower, orang asli house, food stall and auntie selling durians. It’s a great opportunity to have a walk around the town and explore what it is hiding! On the way, you can grab some fresh coconut juice or ABC ice cream.
Gaharu Tea Valley
It is a very special tea plantation very different from regular tea plantations such as the one in Cameron Highlands. The plantation started more than 20 years ago. There is a guided tour available but tickets need to be bought.

Batu Gajah
Kellie’s Castle
Batu Gajah is most known for Kellie’s Castle which was built by a Scottish planter around 1915 to live in with his wife and son. It’s a colonial-style mansion with a fascinating history. Currently, the ruins are available to visit. Please note this attraction sells tickets.
The castle is situated on the way to Batu Gajah town at the Kinta Kellas Rubber Estate, about a 30-minute drive and 14 km south of Ipoh City.

Perak Herb Garden
Better known as the herbs park, this garden is located in Kampung Kepayang near Jalan Simpang Pulai – Batu Gajah. It is a beautiful nature park host to more than five hundred plant species and is over 50 acres wide. Here you can learn more about these magnificent plants with a surprisingly vast range of medical properties.
