About Me – Azrol

Azrol (also known as Jay) is our Operations Manager and a native Perakian. His hometown is Bidor and he completed his studies at St. Michael’s Institution in Ipoh. Jay loves to cook and he actually studied to be a chef but was enticed into a career in the outdoor industry instead because of his love of nature. A proud father of two, he spent two years working for Outward Bound Hong Kong prior to joining Nomad Adventure in 2014. As a Rescue 3 instructor for Water and Rope and also Wilderness First Aid, Jay is Nomad’s expedition specialist because he always does such an outstanding job with his menu and logistics planning. With his big personality and training as a drum circle facilitator, Jay will make sure you are well-fed and entertained. A budding musician who has taught himself to play the ukulele and flute, you will love every minute of your outdoor experience with Jay.
