About Me – Dee

Meet Dee, our Program Coordinator at Nomad Adventure! Originally from Singapore, Dee started with us as an intern in 2014, returned in 2016, and has been an essential part of the team ever since. With a background in outdoor adventure, she’s living her passion every day!

Dee’s all about transformation especially when she sees kids go from shy and scared to confident, excited adventurers by the end of camp. It’s her favorite part of the job, watching kids break their boundaries and gain that newfound sense of self. She’s all about pushing herself out of her comfort zone too!

Her favorite camp tradition? The sleepovers! There’s something special about sharing dorm rooms and making lasting memories with friends.

Among her own adventures, a road trip down Australia’s Great Ocean Road tops the list camping with friends, breathtaking views, and unforgettable moments. But her love for the outdoors started years ago with a mountain camping trip in Malaysia, thanks to her uncle. It sparked her desire to create similar experiences for kids at Nomad.

If Dee could go anywhere for an outdoor adventure, the Pacific West is at the top of her list, she’s captivated by its natural beauty and endless outdoor opportunities.

When she’s not at camp, Dee loves roller skating a fun hobby that might surprise those who know her as the energetic, loud, and always-happy camp leader. And she’s got a mischievous cat named Bidi, who’s just as independent as she is!

Described as funny, loud, and a great listener, Dee is a trusted confidante and a cherished companion. Her vibrant spirit makes her a joy to be around at Nomad Adventure.
