About Me – Sin

Sin Yee is a Chinese Korean Malaysian whose hometown is Pulau Kukup in Johor, a village built on stilts over the sea. Her village sits on the most southern tip of the Asian continent and is surrounded by mangrove forests which create excellent fisheries. She graduated with a first class honors in Bachelor of Parks and Recreation in Science from University Putra Malaysia. She first came to Nomad as an intern in 2014 and is now our Assistant Operations Manager. Sin Yee is passionate about facilitating people’s appreciation of nature and to understand issues of sustainability. Sin Yee loves to watch Chinese and Korean dramas in her spare time. She is extremely hard-working and clever, however don’t ask her to give you directions as she has been known to get lost trying to find her house in the Kampung!
